# Updating Genesis

### How to update your Genesis application

- To update to the latest versions of the App & Engine, enter the following command:
  
    - `sudo apt update`
    - `sudo apt upgrade`
- Or, to view all the available versions (including old ones), open a terminal window and enter the following command:
  
    - `sudo apt-cache madison move-genesis`
      
          - This will display all available versions of the Genesis application
