Process an Action Take

Process an Action Take:

💡An Action Take is used to generate animation data from a recording of a performance.

❗Performers should always begin in a T-pose, and stay within the calibrated space at all times during the performance.

A calibration must be processed before the Action Take can be processed. This will be handled automatically if using the Process All Takes button.

  1. Enter the clap and action times:
    1. If your videos are already sync'd, untick the 'sync using claps' button, otherwise, watch the video and note down the following timestamps:
      1. The time the actor begins clapping
        1. If your cameras began recording at slightly different times, enter the time from the earliest camera.
      2. The time the actor finishes clapping
        1. If your cameras began recording at slightly different times, enter the time from the latest camera.
    2. Enter the action times:
      1. The time the actor begins the T-pose
        1. The footage will now be in sync, so enter the time from the earliest camera.
      2. The time the actor finishes the T-pose
        1. Again, enter the time from the earliest camera.
  2. Select the number of actors
  3. Select the finger & ball tracking on/off
  4. Select the desired rig, if not the default Move Mo rig
    1. Note - The animation overlay is currently always shown on the Move Mo rig, even if a different rig is selected. The animation output files will still be retargeted as expected.
  5. OPTIONAL: See the respective doc for to apply an Actor Profile to the Action Take
    1. This feature is only available for local processing.
  6. Click Start on the desired Take, or use the Process All Takes button (far right in the project options bar to queue up all available takes).
