Importing videos into the project

Importing videos into the project:

When importing videos to the project, they will be imported into a Take. There are two types of Takes:

Calibration takes generate the information about the camera positions from your shoot, enabling the system to process the associated Action Takes
Action Takes generate the animation data, based on the actors movements in the videos

There are two ways you can import your videos to your project:

Import Takes from Folder - This allows you to automatically create Takes from a batch of videos
Drag & drop videos into a Take - If you create a Take manually, you can drag & drop the videos from the file explorer directly into the Take

‼️Prerequisites:

File names should begin with the camera number followed by the name of the take. Example - cam01_take1.mp4 or cam1_calib.mp4
The cameras must be in the same positions for both the Calibration Takes and the Action Takes. If your notice your cameras are in different positions or orientations for some action take recordings, make sure you're using the correct calibration recording.

Option 1 - Import Takes from Folder

This allows you to automatically create Takes from a batch of videos based on their file names

Click the Import Folder button
Locate and open the desired folder containing the videos
For the takes you'd like to import, ensure the correct Take type is assigned (Calibration/Action), then click the + button beside the take to import the videos associated with this take. You can also click the + button at the top to import all available Takes into the project.
1. Should you wish to preview the videos before you import them, you can click on the take, and then click on the desired video to watch it.

Option 2 - Drag & drop into a take

Once you've created a Take, you can drag & drop files to assign them to the Take

Drag and drop the desired videos into the Take videos panel in the top right corner
