# Clearing Project Cache

 

Genesis version **1.0.21** introduced optimisation updates, including the ability to clear your cache to free up storage space for extra processing.

### Clearing your Cache

Clearing your cache removes all previous runs of a specific take, keeping only the most recently processed run.

**For example:** If you reprocessed an existing take using a different mocap model, or if you reran your animations following a new engine release to get better results, pressing **Clear Cache** would remove all files from those earlier attempts, leaving only the most recent run intact.
