Blender

Read below for instructions on getting data into Blender:

Prerequisites

You'll need at least Blender 2.83 LTS to view our MoCap results: https://www.blender.org/download/releases/2-83/

Import
To get files into Blender, follow these steps:

  1. Simply double-click the .blend file (i.e. take_name_actor00_rig_name.blend) on your computer, or go to “File” > Open in the opened Blender scene. You can also drag and drop .blend files to the running Blender window.

  2. take_name_actor00_rig_name.fbx This is move.ai internal rig. “File” > “Import” > “FBX (.fbx)”, select your file, click “Import FBX”

  3. take_name_actor00_rig_name_retargeted.fbx This is a retargeted version. track00_moveai.fbx was used as a source for retargeting and provided client's rig (uploaded to web app) as a target.

Playback

Sometimes playback can be slower or faster than you'd expect. To solve this, Import your file, set the animation frame range, set AV-sync for faster playback, and set your desired FPS.

On the latest Blender version 3.2.0, the options under Playback have been updated. To proceed: Playback > Sync > Sync to Audio rather than “AV-sync”

Bone Rotation

If your bone rotation looks odd, don't worry! Unhide the “link” collection, select one of the objects from that collection, go to pose mode, and rotate.
