My takes aren't uploading from the Mobile App to the Web App, how can I fix this?

If you have any trouble uploading from the Mobile App, try these steps:

  • Check you have a stable connection to the internet - the Mobile App needs to communicate to our Web App to send the files.
  • Take a look at the session stored locally in the app on each of the camera devices and check that the project, session and camera ID are correctly named. If not, tap and hold on the session details at the top of the screen and you can change them accordingly to match the desired (and must be pre-existing) project, session and camera ID. These details can be found in the URL of an existing project and session in the Web App, or you can manually create a new project and session. The camera ID will determine the camera name in the Web App, so ensure that you number your cameras differently, and that the numbers don't exceed the maximum number of cameras you have defined in the session. Please note that the host does not need a camera ID, as it doesn't have any footage to upload. Once this is done, return to the home screen to refresh the page and these details will now be updated.

Does the iPhone app require an internet connection?

Yes the iPhone app requires an internet connection when logging into the app with the host device. The capture devices on the other hand don't require an internet connection.

What is the recommended method uploading to the Web App?

Uploading via the host device. Follow this workflow:

  • Press 'Finish Recording'
  • Press 'Save to Host': This will transfer the captured videos to the host device.
  • After the videos are successful transferred press 'Upload All' which will upload your videos to the web app.

When uploading I am receiving the ErrInvalidServerStatus error message. What does this mean?

The reason your experiencing this error message is likely because the web app has failed to create a project and session on the web app.

Does it matter if my devices are running different app versions?

Yes, it is important that you make sure each device in your setup is running the same app version. This is because larger updates can affect the compatibility with older app versions. We have experienced connectivity issues between devices running different versions of the app.
